Prompting and driving creators to learn and engage more with the platform in new ways. This project entails new site UX structures, new page functionalities, strategy and content experiences to the creators site.

As part of my work in R/GA as an associate experience designer I designed the experience design work and collaborated with a strategist, copywriter, creative director and visual designers. Other tasks include brainstorming, sitemap, wireframing, iterating, preparing the deck and presenting to the client.
OVERVIEW
This is a short project summary for the IG creators new site experience additions, for full walkthrough please contact. The creators website serves as a supporting information source for many creators and their managers. The site works in tandem and a supporting resource to the actual platform. The premise of these additions is to create value and cultivate learning about experimenting using the platform in new ways to generate growth and more engagement.

There were 2 main asks and challenges we answered:
1) Demystifying the "Algorithm" and Ranking
2) Creating a blog for reels trend report
MY ROLE
I worked closely with the experience strategist to help shape what would be the best direction and content, understand the UX research we received, creative direction, UX journeys and sitemaps and creating web and mobile wireframes for the solutions. I was responsible of leading some of the brainstorms and design sessions and helping direct the visual design team. I was also in charge of user flow optimization and reflecting how the new site structure affects other content and behaviors on the site. I presented to the client which was key and highlighting how these solutions should be snackable, short and creator friendly.
Ask 1: Algorithm & Ranking: Opportunity and Approach
Based on user needs and research there is a need to understand the secret sauce of the "algorithm" and define the users growth strategy to create more engagement. Users want clarity, guidance and inspiration.

The opportunity is to demystify "the algorithm" and ranking with authentic, transparent content for creators. The approach is creating a new Grow page that will hold digestible info on the ranking and "algorithm" along with a FAQ section.

In this primary stage, going through existing content examples and understanding user research input with a strategist helped take this approach to add a new Grow overview page and ranking page.
Define and Design
I recommended on this narrative for the grow page with the relevant digestible information in a bite size form across the platform's features regarding the "algorithm" and ranking helps provide guidance for creators. Utilizing the best components to highlight this information as smooth as possible.

The wireframe was iterated and designed with existing components in mind to best emphasize inspiration and clarity.

Final visual design will be available in an interview.
Ask 2: Reels Report Opportunity
Distribution and awareness of trends to creators are low since the report is difficult to share as a document format. Also managers send off trend info through pdfs and the process can be cumbersome. Therefore, the opportunity is to transform the report to a dynamic blog hub to feature trending content for creators. Both trending content reels and trending audio will be sourced from that new blog page/hub we recommended
and created.

The key features of the blog would be search-ability, timely, accessible by snackable content, adaptable by region/global and organized.

Adding the blog to the sitemap helped the next steps of designing the wireframe and visual of the hub.
Define and Design the Blog
Designing the blog wire was done with existing components through iterating on 2 approaches along with a mobile version.

The first approach was more curated with topic section and a play of various components. The second approach was a "feed-like" design where there is a flow of random timely content to showcase the trend reports. The second approach was selected.

Mobile version, trend report page and full visual design have also been created.
